چکیده

B-Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) is the second most common acute leukemia in adults. Its clinical manifestations include leukocytosis or leukopenia, anemia, and thrombocytopenia with an overall poor prognosis elderly patients. If relapse occurs, it commonly involves bone marrow but can also involve Extramedullary (EM) sites such as brain, testis, liver, spleen lymph nodes. Isolated extramedullary involvement of oral cavity B-ALL extremely rare only a few reposted cases literature pediatrics Adolescent-and-Young-Adult (AYA) population. Here we describe case gentleman who presented isolated EM involving gnathic bones which was initially misdiagnosed odontogenic infection.

A Unique Case of Relapsed B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia/Lymphoma as an Isolated Omental Mass

B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (B-ALL) is a neoplasm of precursor cells committed to the B-cell lineage. Extramedullary involvement is frequent, with particular predilection for the central nervous system, lymph nodes, spleen, liver, and testis. We report an unusual case of B-ALL relapsing as an isolated omental mass along with bone marrow involvement.

Treatment of Ifosfamide -induced Encephalopathy with Methylene Blue in an Adolescent with Relapsed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia: a case report

Ifosfamide is one of the most important chemotherapeutic agents used for the treatment of numerous types of malignancies. Neurotoxicity is one of its life-threatening complications and is potentially fatal. In this paper we present a case of severe ifosfamide- induced encephalopathy in an adolescent with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in whom treatment with methylene blue led to complete improvem...

FOXM1 is overexpressed in B-acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) and its inhibition sensitizes B-ALL cells to chemotherapeutic drugs

The Forkhead box protein M1 (FOXM1) is a transcription factor that plays a central role in the regulation of cell cycle, proliferation, DNA repair, and apoptosis. FOXM1 is overexpressed in many human tumors and its upregulation has been linked to high proliferation rates and poor prognosis. We therefore studied the role of FOXM1 in B-lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) in order to understand whether...

Pediatric B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia presenting with Paraneoplastic Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis

Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) is a monophasic demyelinating disease most often triggered by infection or immunization, though associations with malignancy and stem cell transplant have been described. We described the case of a four-year-old boy with new-onset neurological symptoms associated with ADEM, acute leukemia, and equivocal evidence of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. He ...
